STRATEGY, NEW WEB, BRAND DESIGN, VIDEO, Photos, ARTICLES – AND MUCH MORE

The Swedish Red Cross University College was founded in 1867 as the first non-religious nursing education in Sweden. The university operates according to the same values ​​as the global Red Cross organisation, focusing on global health and global care for the most vulnerable in a crisis and disaster.

Nurses and specialist nurses are trained here. The Swedish Red Cross University College also conducts research from a global perspective. In other words, inspiring education for those who want to work in healthcare.

In September 2020, The Swedish Red Cross University College contacted us at Starlings. The university needed to take a holistic approach to its communication in general and its site in particular. Starlings were commissioned to review the communication and initially develop a communication strategy.

FROM STRATEGY TO IMPLEMENTATION IN ALL CHANNELS AND PLATFORMS

With a communication strategy in place, it was time to start creating. We began by reviewing the university’s existing site and set a new logical structure. As the target groups are several, this was a challenge in itself – rkh.se contains external information as well as student pages and an intranet. All visitors were to find the information they were looking for easily. We edited and rewrote all existing texts, sorted, merged, deleted and added several new articles of both informational and inspirational nature.

The next step was to produce a new brand design and accompanying manual for the new website and other communication units – from print ads to presentation templates. In parallel, work began on moving all web content to the site’s new design. We also produced several videos.

RKH.SE IN ITS NEW DESIGN THAT RESEMBLES THE ONE OF THE SWEDISH RED CROSS BUT WITH ITS OWN TOUCH IN THE CHOICE OF PICTURES, COLORS AND ELEMENTS.

IN OTHER WORDS

We began with a complete review of content, functions, and structure and then presented a strategy and implementation plan in the short and long term. In close collaboration with the university, we have implemented the plan we laid out last autumn. The site has been live since the beginning of May 2021, and the videos have been published! And the work continues…
